An all-new independent careers website, online magazine and forum for the risk profession will be launched in June 2020. Set up by London-based consultancy Clemfield Solutions, riskjobsboard.com will advertise job vacancies and feature articles, online forums, blogs, and sponsored content.
The launch reflects the growing importance of strategic risk assessment for organizations. This has been underlined by events in 2020, including the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, along with geopolitical and environmental risks, and rising concerns over data and computer security. The risk profession has grown and matured in recent years, emerging as a specialist discipline in its own right.
During the economic downturn, employers are recruiting risk professionals, especially in insurance and other parts of the financial services sector, says founder Clementina Christopher, MD of Clemfield Solutions. She says of the new site: ‘It will be independent, specialist and dedicated to the risk profession. We will be speaking their language, discussing what is topical; there will be opportunities to network, keep themselves updated, get career advice, buy and sell services.’
The concept of riskjobsboard.com is that it will be a platform for risk professionals, to help them primarily with jobs, but also with career development, exchanging ideas and sharing information on developments in risk. There will be training resources as well as articles and blogs.
Ms Christopher is an experienced sales and business development specialist, with a background in B2B publishing, conferences and seminars. She will build traffic to the site via blogs and the Clemfield Solutions’ database of risk specialists. The site will aim for the highest standards of independent journalism, and commentary from leading specialists in the field.
